For parents
What makes this school different, what a day looks like, how children are kept safe and supported, and what outcomes you can reasonably expect.
See the parent guide →Strategy
Three audiences need to understand the same idea in three different languages. This package gives each of them — parents, guide candidates, and institutional sponsors — the specific information they need to say yes.
Audiences
What makes this school different, what a day looks like, how children are kept safe and supported, and what outcomes you can reasonably expect.
See the parent guide →Who we are looking for, how we identify and train Socratic guides, and why this is meaningful work for emotionally mature adults with wisdom to share.
See the guide pathway →Why a Socratic, humanistic school is a sound institutional investment, and how corporate, foundation, and public sponsors can help sustain it.
See the sponsor brief →What this package contains
Every audience learns the same core terms — Socratic guide, explorer in charge, scrolling to discover, sycophantic decay, and dependent offloading — so conversations stay aligned.
We do not promise genius, guaranteed test scores, or spiritual transformation. We do promise rigorous observation, respectful questioning, and a school built on evidence rather than hype.
The Academy begins as a small, intentional community and grows only as fast as we can train guides and verify outcomes. Quality is the first constraint; a purpose-built campus is a separate, several-million-dollar capital phase that follows a proven pilot.
Our training materials, observation rubrics, and guide protocols are shared with partner schools and sponsors so the model can be inspected, adapted, and improved.
How to use this
If you are a parent, begin with the parent guide. It answers the questions parents actually ask: Is it safe? Will my child learn to read and do math? What happens if my child struggles or races ahead?
If you are considering becoming a guide, begin with the guide pathway. It describes the temperament and training we look for, and why this role is especially well suited to experienced adults who want meaningful work in the second half of life.
If you represent a corporation, foundation, school district, or public agency, begin with the sponsor brief. It frames the Academy as a civic and economic investment with measurable returns in attention, creativity, and social trust.
