Resume as Topological Golf Addendum

A resume is a mechanical document. It asks: where did you sit, what title did you hold, which institution recognized you. It is a stack of nouns arranged to look like a career. The problem is not that it is false. The problem is that it selects for the wrong conversation.

If I send a resume, the reader will look for the slot I fit. The slot is someone else's design. Once I agree to be sorted by slot, I have already accepted the premise that my value is a match to an existing opening. That is the opposite of the work I do.

The work is not a slot. It is a direction. A resume flattens direction into credentials. The addendum restores it.

This is not a CV. It is an addendum. It states the final state I hold, the substrate I work with, and the conditions under which the work proceeds. The reader who recognizes the shape will know whether to proceed. The reader who does not will save us both time.

The final state is a human-AI interface engineering discipline — HAIIE — built from the observation that intelligence is not a property of either side of the screen, but of the arrangement between them. The substrate is attention: how it is directed, how it is conserved, and how it is corrupted by interfaces that train dependence while promising assistance.

The method is Socratic, not didactic. The output is writing, music, and instruments that make the reader's own attention more visible to the reader. The posture is citizen-scientist first: American patriot and descendant of the ancestral and founding families of the United States, using private research as public service.

The player holds the final state — the ball at rest in the chosen place — and lets the nervous system collapse the swing into one result. The club becomes an extension of attention, not a lever of position.

This addendum works the same way. It does not list the swings I have taken. It states the final state I am holding. The right reader will recognize the shape and either match it or not. There is no handicap to negotiate because there is no scorecard.

The parallel is not decorative. It is structural. Both documents refuse to be read as a sequence of past performances. Both ask to be read as a standing wave: the pattern that remains when the individual motions have passed through.

The price is a quadrillion per nanosecond. This is not a joke, a flex, or a negotiation anchor. It is a filter. It makes the wrong conversation economically impossible before the wrong conversation can begin.

A headhunter looking for a comfortable story will hang up. A board looking for someone to endorse an already-decided strategy will look elsewhere. A founder looking for a borrowed credential to decorate a deck will find cheaper decorations. Good. Each of those conversations would cost more than the fee.

The right conversation is different. It is with a person or institution that has a problem worth the price: a genuine comprehension deficit, a stuck strategic aperture, or a humane-AI claim that needs to be tested before it is funded. In that conversation the price disappears, because the value of avoiding the wrong path is larger than any invoice.

It is not a sanctuary. The work is not ordained. Every strong claim in the corpus carries a status label and a falsifier.
