The Audition
What are we, we ask, as if asking would give us logical answers. No science, no mathematical formulas, not abstract ungrounded ideas or flights of fancy — can accomplish those relevant answers.
In any final analysis, we simply are what we do, what we think and believe, and most of all the action we take and the motivation for said action.
Science currently does reaffirm that all of the above suppositions are indeed true.
And for us beleaguered and battered human beings, fortunate enough to be alive in modern times, there is a certain comfort in having the quantum scientific revolution to tell us what we already have understood for centuries.
It is motivation, action and philosophy which come to proactively create what and who we are in the chrysalis of each unfolding nanosecond.
Angels are familiar as spiritual guides, and are everywhere in our history, in our art and literature, as steadfast and stoic arbiters of human confusion.
Gravity's mathematical angels are metaphors — quite useful metaphors — as they take on actual mathematical and musical form in this volume.
Think of these winged beings as guides to the territory we are now exploring — perhaps sitting upon our shoulders, pointing necessary direction, or holding a guiding light in the darkness we feel all around us.
Much like us, angels are beings of light — light bearers as human beings become in a meaningful life.
Metaphorical angels also resonate in the sphere of music: where music literally becomes a method by which our spirits and mental processes — and even our physical form, through dance — may take flight.
We are not so familiar with angels as images useful in modern science, but that is precisely why we bring them in, as there is an element of mystery and miracle in our modern science.
Angels are perfectly poised to serve as the metaphors for us, as we negotiate the unfamiliar territory of navigating our new space as quantum emergent beings in a quantum universe.
Our culture is filled with the quiet assurance that prayer changes things — but maybe not quite so filled with the assurance that it is consciousness itself which we direct in a positive direction when we pray effectively.
In positing a familiar place for ourselves as quantum beings in a quantum universe we can think of prayer as a method of tuning ourselves to the frequency of the universe — because as we will find later this is quite literally what we are doing when we pray.
It is not necessary for us to figure out all the mathematics, geometric implications, and topological architecture of our new science.
The most important thing is to remember and remain faithful to how to live a rich and meaningful human life.
If angel guides can help us do that, then there are no earthly or heavenly reasons why we should not include them.
Bear witness, readers, we are being confidently and gently guided into a brand new Quantum Scientific Revolution.
No one can tell the reader what they are going to experience from such a book, as only the reader stands witness in the real world, at the precise time and place.
Just as it is impossible to step in the same river twice, it is equally impossible to enter the dominion of a book twice.
The harmonic series, the logarithmic spiral, the fractal wing — these are not arguments made in language. They are performances made in number, and the performance is the proof. The reader is invited to listen first, and only then to read the score.
